Notes:

The Sandy QXT 640 was an upgraded Sinclair QL in a custom desktop case. They were manufactured and sold by Sandy in/around 1987. They could be purchased as a complete system including a QL motherboard, or as a kit for building around your own existing QL motherboard. Upgrades they generally incorporated were:

Built-in ASTEC branded PSU (instead of the external original Sinclair PSU).
One or Two Internal 3.5" floppy disk drives with corresponding Sandy disk drive controller card.
Extra 512K of RAM (fitted as a daughter board on the floppy controller card).
Separate keyboard - either a SPEM made QL keyboard or any XT keyboard if the appropriate Sandy k/b controller card was fitted.
Mouse interface and mouse.

My example is complete and working (apart from the 512K RAM upgrade), but did require some repairs to the PSU and now awaits further restoration and re-assembly.
